The creatures of the night have been outed and after what appeared to be a brief time of acceptance, the monsters turned on the humans and began to take control of the working governments and institutions. Eventually the human race suffered a mass genocide at the hands of this new council of darkness, headed by the new self-proclaimed king Asmodeus, and humans have been enslaved, murdered, and tortured by the new "upper-class". Left in a world where survival is the number one priority, the human race must begin to rebuild their numbers if they ever hope to beat back the swarm of blood suckers and soulless demons that have laid claim of their world.
